TikTok comes to living room TVs in partnership with whaleOS 3

The TikTok TV app is now available on whaleOS 3 powered Smart TVs, giving the short-form video service an opportunity to reach new users and generate more viewing hours, via the big screen. Once logged in with their account on the TV, users can enjoy their personalized feed or consume a random selection of short-duration videos.

“We’re excited to broaden our reach with the launch on whaleOS 3 enabled TVs,” says Vanessa Brown, Director of Business Development, APAC, TikTok. “By introducing TikTok onto larger screens, we’re unlocking a new dimension of entertainment for our users, fostering opportunities for shared joy and connection.

“We hope this update will not only elevate individual experiences but also foster moments of bonding among families.”

Teresa Lopez, VP Content Partnerships at ZEASN EMEA (the company behind whaleOS, which acquired Foxxum a year ago), states: “Our aim is to provide a diverse range of content from top-tier brands. With TikTok’s immense popularity, we offer our users a unique and entertaining experience, bringing short-form video entertainment to their living rooms.”

whaleOS 3 integrates broadcast and streaming content onto one screen with easy navigation and access to a large selection of entertainment options, including hundreds of free and paid streaming apps via its App Gallery.  The platform OS simplifies content discovery with universal search and personalized recommendations, among other things.
